Sahvir Wheeler, a 5-foot-8 guard from Houston, signed with Georgia, UGA announced Wednesday morning.

“We’re very excited about Sahvir,” Crean said in a news release from Georgia sports communications. “His speed, change of direction and floor vision are really unique. He can score the ball in a variety of ways, from getting to the rim all the way out to shooting 3’s, and he can put a tremendous amount of pressure on the ball defensively. He is a dynamic floor general who possesses the skills to make his teammates better with his exceptional passing ability.”

Wheeler ranks as a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite ranking. Georgia has signed five players for the Class of 2019, and all rank in the top 95 of the Composite. The class is rated No. 8 in the 247Sports Composite.

Guard Anthony Edwards from Holy Spirit Preparatory School is a 5-star recruit. Each of the others are 4-stars.
