Knowshon Moreno's NFL debut lasted a total of three carries before he injured his left knee.
But the former Georgia Bulldog should be back in plenty of time for the Denver Broncos season opener, according to numerous media outlets. The Broncos face the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sept. 13.
An MRI revealed Moreno has a slight sprain of the medial collateral ligament. The No. 12 overall draft pick is expected to be sidelined about two weeks, according to ESPN.com.
The running back had 18 yards on three carries against San Francisco Friday night, just a week after joining the team. Moreno's eight-day holdout ended Aug. 7 with a five-year, $23 million contract that includes $13 million in guarantees.
