Former Oklahoma running back Trey Sermon, of Marietta, has committed to Ohio State.

The 6-foot, 221-pound Sermon announced March 14 in a tweet that he was entering the portal as a graduate transfer.

With another tweet Sunday, the former rusher at Sprayberry, announced he would join another Georgian — quarterback Justin Fields — as a Buckeye in Columbus, Ohio.

Sermon ran for 744 yards as a freshman in 2017 and 947 as a sophomore. He carried the ball twice for 34 yards, one a 31-yarder, against Georgia in the Rose Bowl.

But Sermon played less in 2019 and suffered a knee injury and finished with just 54 carries for 385 yards and four touchdowns.
