Jackson State mascot draws a penalty at MEAC/SWAC Challenge

Bethune-Cookman Wildcats players celebrate after defeating the Jackson State Tigers, 36-15, in the 2019 MEAC/SWAC Challenge Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta.
Jackson State added to its lead with a third-quarter touchdown grab by Warren Newman in Sunday’s MEAC/SWAC Challenge at Georgia State Stadium.
Joining the end zone pile-on was the Tiger’s mascot, who streaked in from the sidelines and in celebration tried to remove a Bethune-Cookman defender off Newman.
Officials joined the melee and brought out the confetti — a yellow-penalty flag — targeting the mascot with an unsportsmanlike infraction.
