After a seemingly unending torrent of players leaving or being dismissed or suspended over the offseason, Georgia Tech received some fortune in the form of a relatively healthy camp. While players such as nose tackle Shawn Green, linebacker Tyler Marcordes and A-back Deon Hill have missed time, coach Paul Johnson said he didn’t know of any long-term injuries on the roster.

“Knock on something,” Johnson said. “Hopefully we can get to the (first) game that way.”

Quarterback Tim Byerly suffered an unspecified injury in the scrimmage and was held out for precautionary reasons, but it was not believed serious.
