University of Georgia police are investigating the theft of three Hall of Fame induction certificates from a wall of the UGA Lettermen's Club at Sanford Stadium.

Certificates for Bulldogs legends Herschel Walker, Fran Tarkenton and Vince Dooley were discovered missing Wednesday morning. Each certificate carried a photograph.

"An employee had locked up the night before," UGA Police Lt. Eric Dellinger told the AJC. "The area was secure and there was no apparent sign of forced entry."

The theft occurred between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The police report says the certificates are worth $100 apiece, but they could be worth far more than that to collectors or fans on the black market.
