Georgia Tech linebacker Chase Alford and A-back Isiah Willis, both walk-ons, have been put on scholarship. Coach Paul Johnson made the announcement Monday from his Twitter account.

Alford and Willis, both juniors, are both in position to receive considerable playing time this season. Willis, from Lassiter High, began the preseason as a starting A-back along with Broderick Snoddy. Alford, a Heritage High grade who has been playing special teams since he was a first-year freshman in 2013, was also on the two-deep depth chart at the start of camp as the No. 2 middle linebacker.
