Can the running game continue to improve? The Panthers have rushed for 464 yards in the past two games, surpassing their total from the first four (455). The improved attack has coincided with an offensive line that has been mostly intact for the first time since the season's second game.
Can Kelton Hill keep it going? In his first start, Saturday against South Alabama, Hill completed 12 of 15 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns. He had a good connection with Albert Wilson, who set a school record with 175 receiving yards. Hill also rushed for 45 yards. He did lose three fumbles, perhaps the only the thing he did wrong.
Will the special teams get better? Coach Bill Curry was at a loss to explain why the special-teams coverage units played so poorly in the win against South Alabama. It has been a season-long issue, no matter who has played.

Keep an eye on ...
For Georgia State: Donald Russell. He became the first running back in school history to crack 100 yards when he rushed for 136 in Saturday's win. He became more effective as the game continued, rushing for 114 yards after halftime.
For Texas-San Antonio: Eric Soza. San Antonio's quarterback is the team's leading rusher (242 yards) and adds 1,527 passing yards. He has scored 13 touchdowns.

The bottom line
It may be too much to expect Georgia State’s defense to play as well as it played Saturday. However, if the special teams can improve, it won’t need to. So, if the offense can rush for more than 200 yards again, and it easily could, and the other units plays reasonably well, the Panthers could put together their first win streak this season.
