Georgia State’s Stoehr questionable for Troy
Georgia State guard Alex Stoehr is questionable for Friday’s game against Troy with an ankle injury.
He suffered the injury on Demarcus Kirk’s touchdown run in the 24-10 win against South Alabama at the Georgia Dome.
Tight end Ari Werts will likely miss the game with a strained hamstring.
Wide receiver Cam Myers is out for the rest of the season with an MCL sprain that won’t require surgery.
The Panthers (4-6, 3-3 Sun Belt) need to win their remaining two games to become bowl eligible for the first time in school history.
If Stoehr can’t play, Davis Moore may move into the starting lineup.
Thanksgiving plans: There will be a touch football game for the families of the players, those on staff and others associated with Georgia State's football program on Thursday at the practice facility. The game is being dubbed "Turkey Bowl."
Coach Trent Miles said the team will usually practice on Thursday mornings of Thanksgiving and then the coaches will let the players go for the rest of the day.
But because this week’s game is on Friday, the players will need to stay together. So the coaches decided to try to bring as many people as they could to Georgia State.
