Ryan Boyce, a 6-6, 185-pound guard, will join Georgia State basketball as a transfer from Memphis, the school announced Monday.

Boyce redshirted the 2018-19 season before playing in five games this season. He joins the Panthers roster immediately and be eligible for the 2020-21 season.

“Ryan joining us is a great development for our program,” coach Rob Lanier said in a statement. “He is a tremendous young talent who checks all of our boxes as a student-athlete and as a person. Ryan has such a bright future and we are delighted to have the opportunity to start working with him in the days and weeks ahead.”

Boyce was a 3-star prospect ranked as high as the No. 6 player in Tennessee by 247Sports. He finished his high school career at Memphis’ East High, which won the Class AAA State Championship in 2018.
