Gardner-Webb guard Jose Perez, who placed Georgia Tech among his five finalists as his transfer destination, announced Thursday that he will transfer to Marquette.

Perez played his first two seasons at Gardner-Webb, averaging 15.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Besides Tech, Perez also chose from Illinois, Iowa State and Memphis.

Tech has one scholarship remaining for the 2020-21 academic year.
