Dominique Wilkins is entering the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame -- finally.

The former Hawks star and NBA great left the University of Georgia after his junior season in 1982.

He will be inducted into the college basketball hall along with his former Bulldogs coach Hugh Durham and six others on November 18.

Wilkins played three seasons at Georgia before jumping to the NBA. He was picked for nine All-Star games.

Former Illinois State standout Doug Collins, DePaul's Mark Aguirre, Kansas State's Bob Boozer, LaSalle's Lionel Simmons, UCLA star Jamaal Wilkes and Stanford coach Mike Montgomery will also be inducted at the ceremony in Kansas City.

The hall was founded by the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation, Inc., to honor and celebrate those who have made extraordinary contributions to the game of men's college basketball. The first class was inducted  in 2006.
