The Hawks will be without Tiago Splitter for Monday’s game against the Mavericks as the reserve center deals with a right hip injury.

Splitter played 15 minutes in Sunday’s loss at the Heat. He finished with five points and five rebounds. Following the game he had several ice packs on his hip.

“We are evaluating his hip and figure out the best things we can do to help with some hip pain,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “We’ll continue to monitor and hopefully alleviate it. … It’s something we’ve been dealing with, managing, all year.”

Budenholzer said Mike Muscala would likely get Splitter’s minutes off the bench.

Splitter missed seven games earlier this season due to his hip. He also missed four games with a mild right calf strain. He has appeared in 36 games this season and averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16.1 minutes.
