Scott scores 23 points in D-League game, recalled by Hawks

UPDATE: The Hawks recalled Scott from the assignment Saturday.

Mike Scott scored 23 points in an NBA Development League game with the Long Island Nets Friday night.

The Hawks reserve played for the Long Island Nets in a 118-113 win over the host Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Scott started at forward and was 10 of 20 from the field, including 3 of 6 from 3-point range, in 25 minutes. He added four rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot.

Scott, who is returning from several non-surgical procedures on his left knee, missed most of training camp and the first 18 games of the regular season. He has appeared in three games for the Hawks. It was the second game with the Nets on this current stint. Scott could be recalled to the Hawks as soon as Saturday. Scott also had a two-game stint with the Delaware 87ers earlier this month.
