Dwight Howard was fined $35,000 for making an obscene gesture during the Hornets’ game against the Cavaliers Friday. The NBA announced the fine on Saturday.

The incident, a gesture made toward fans with his mouth, occurred in the second quarter of the Hornets’ 100-99 loss in Cleveland.

The Atlanta native and former Hawks center picked up his fifth technical foul of the season later in the third quarter for arguing after being called for a personal foul.
