Stephen Holt, who played for the Hawks in the Las Vegas Summer League, has signed to play professionally in Germany next season. The guard from St. Mary’s recently finalized the deal with Ludwigsburg of the Euroleague.

Holt was invited to take part in Hawks training camp, which begins in October, but opted for a season overseas.

“Stephen is very appreciative for the opportunity with the Hawks,” Holt’s agent Darrell Comer of ASM Sports said. “He is very, very excited to play in Germany. He is also very hopeful that he can play for the Hawks summer league team again next year.”

Holt, the 6-foot-4 guard, performed very well for the Hawks during summer league. He appeared in five games, including three starts, and averaged 8.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 23.8 minutes. He shot .421 (8 of 19) from 3-point range. He had a high of 15 points in a win over the Trail Blazers.
