Hawks guard Joe Johnson needs three points to reach 12,000 points for his career.

Johnson, in his ninth NBA season, is currently 32nd among active players in career scoring. Going into Thursday's games, Hawks guard Mike Bibby was 24th (13,699), forward Joe Smith was 39th (11,140) and guard Jamal Crawford 50th (10,091).

Cavs center Shaquille O'Neal, currently out with a thumb injury, leads all active players with 28,255 points - the fifth-best total in NBA history.
