The Hawks assigned Lamar Patterson to the NBA Development League Friday night. The guard will go to the Austin Spurs via the flexible assignment rule.

The Austin Spurs host the Reno Bighorns on Saturday at 8 p.m.

Patterson has appeared in 16 games this season and averaged 3.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 14.3 minutes.

It will be the second D-League stint by the rookie Patterson this season. He was assigned to the Austin Spurs on Nov. 13 and recalled two days later after playing two games. He averaged 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 34.5 minutes.

The Hawks already have Tim Hardaway Jr. and Edy Tavares on assignment with the Canton Charge.
