The Atlanta Dream sent center Imani McGee-Stafford to the Dallas Wings in exchange for a 2020 third-round pick, the team announced Thursday.

McGee-Stafford averaged 2.1 points and 3.4 rebounds last season in Atlanta. She was joined the Dream in a 2017 trade-deadline deal with the Chicago Sky.

With the move of the fourth-year player, the Dream have 14 players ahead of the 12-player roster cut down due May 23.

Atlanta now has three picks in 2020, including its own first and third-round selections.

The Dream opens their 12th WNBA season at 7:30 p.m. May 24 against the Wings at State Farm Arena.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors.
