DeMarre Carroll is out for tonight’s game against the Lakers. It will be the fourth straight game the Hawks’ starting small forward has missed with a groin strain.

Carroll has yet to go through a full workout.

In six games, Carroll is averaging 12.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 33.8 minutes. Thabo Sefolosha will again start in place of Carroll. He will draw the defensive assignment of guarding the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant.

Adreian Payne will be the Hawks’ other inactive player.
