Mike Soroka, the No. 3 prospect in the Braves organization according to MLB.com, pitched five scoreless innings as the Gwinnett Stripers won their season opener, beating Norfolk 3-1 Friday night.

Soroka allowed three hits and one walk while striking out five.

Rio Ruiz had an RBI double for Gwinnett.

Braves top prospect Ronald Acuna went 0-for-4.
