The Atlanta Braves will don Atlanta Black Crackers uniforms for a second time this season when they face the New York Mets (1:35 p.m. Sunday, June 25) at Turner Field.
The Metropolitans will wear the Brooklyn Royal Giants uniforms to honor the Negro Leagues. The Braves first wore the Crackers throwbacks when they faced the Royals last month in Kansas City.
This got us thinking. Although the Braves' home uniform has remained largely unchanged since the late 1980s, they have worn a number of ecclectic looks since their arrival in Atlanta in 1966.
