Center fielder Ender Inciarte is on track to rejoin the Braves on Saturday after missing nearly a month with a left hamstring injury.

Inciarte was to play a final rehabilitation game for Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday and if there are no setbacks he’ll be activated to the Braves’ 25-man roster before Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks. The Braves placed Inciarte on the 15-day disabled list after he suffered a strained hamstring while running to first base during the third game of the season.

Gonzalez wouldn’t say if Inciarte would be back in center field when he returns to the lineup. Rookie Mallex Smith, the organization’s top outfield prospect, has been the primary center fielder during Inciarte’s absence.

The Braves acquired Inciarte as part of a trade with the Diamondbacks in December. They sent Arizona a package that included right-hander Shelby Miller, the scheduled starter for the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
