Dansby Swanson went 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in his first game with the Gwinnett Braves Friday night.

Swanson was demoted by the big-league Braves after hitting just .213 in the majors this season.

Swanson's new team (51-53) lost to host Syracuse 10-6.

Swanson played shortstop and Ozzie Albies played second base for the G-Braves. Albies was also 1-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts. Albies is hitting .285.

Another top prospect, right fielder Ronald Acuna, went 2-for-4 with a triple and a walk. He's batting .279.

Left fielder Dustin Peterson led Gwinnett's offense, going 3-for-4.

Twenty-year-old left-hander Luiz Gohara (0-1) made his first Triple-A start for the Braves but lasted just 4 2/3 innings. He gave up five runs, four of them earned and four hits. He was hurt by walks, issuing five to go along with five strikeouts.
