How the game was won: Jace Peterson's three-run, two-out homer capped a four-run fifth inning that propelled the Braves and Julio Teheran to a 6-2 win against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, where the Braves avoided what would've been the first four-game sweep against them by the Phillies since 1995 and first in Philadelphia since 1949, when they were the Boston Braves. Teheran (7-6) allowed eight hits, two runs and no walks with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Peterson was 3-for-4 in his first three-hit game since June 14.

Number: 2. Number of wins in 12 road starts for Teheran. He won on opening day at Miami, then went 0-5 with a 7.88 ERA in his next 10 road starts before winning Sunday against the Phillies.

What's next: The Braves return to Atlanta for a seven-game homestand that begins Monday with a three-game series against the Giants. Rookie Mike Foltynewicz (3-3, 5.04 ERA) faces Giants veteran Matt Cain (2-2, 4.50).
