A recap of the Braves’ victory over the New York Mets on Saturday at Turner Field.

How the game was won: The Braves used a four-run fifth inning to pull away to a 5-3 victory over the Mets. The big inning featured consecutive doubles by Alberto Callapso, Christian Bethancourt and Andrelton Simmons plus an RBI triple by Eric Young Jr. and a run-scoring single by Nick Markakis. Braves starter Julio Teheran held the Mets to three runs (one earned) over six-plus innings.

Number: 0. Hits allowed in four relief appearances (four innings) by Braves rookie Brandon Cunniff. That breaks the Atlanta record for most outings to start a career without a hit. Juan Jaime (2014), Roman Colon (2004) and John Rocker (1998) didn’t allow a hit in their first three outings.

Next: The Braves play the Mets at 1:35 p.m. Sunday on Fox Sports South. Alex Wood (1-0, 3.60 ERA) faces Bartolo Colon (1-0, 1.50 ERA).
