Atlanta United striker Josef Martinez was upgraded from out to questionable on the team’s injury report ahead of Saturday’s MLS game at Nashville.

Martinez hasn’t played since being subbed off in the second half of a game at D.C. United on April 2. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee a few days later.

Martinez rejoined the team for training Tuesday for the first time since the operation. He is the team’s all-time leading scorer, with 91 goals in 113 MLS games. He won the league MVP in 2018 after helping the club win the MLS Cup.

“He’s making a lot of progress,” manager Gonzalo Pineda said. “So we’re really happy with that.”

Also listed as questionable for Saturday were Caleb Wiley and Santiago Sosa.
