Atlanta United Academy player Ashton Gordon will join the first team in the 2025 MLS season.
The team announced on Monday that Gordon, a 16-year-old native of Decatur, signed a contract with Atlanta United 2 for the upcoming MLS Next Pro season.
Gordon’s contract with the first team is guaranteed through 2026 with options for ‘27 and ‘28.
Gordon played with Atlanta United’s Under-17 team last year. He helped the U-16 team win its age division of the MLS Next Pro championship.
