Atlanta United will play St. Louis at Kennesaw State in U.S. Open Cup quarters

Atlanta United will host St. Louis July 10, in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup, at Kennesaw State’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Atlanta United advanced by defeating Columbus, 3-2,  Tuesday at MAPFRE Stadium. It is the first time in three years that the Five Stripes have advanced to the quarters.

St. Louis advanced by defeating Cincinnati 1-0 Wednesday with a goal in the third minute of stoppage time.

St. Louis, which plays in the USL, has already knocked off two MLS teams on its way to the quarterfinals. In addition to beating Cincinnati, it also defeated Chicago.

St. Louis features Lewis Hilton, who played at Young Harris College in northeast Georgia.
