Atlanta United posts world’s third largest soccer crowd last week

Atlanta United had unofficially the third largest announced attendance among the world’s soccer teams last week.

Atlanta United's announced attendance of 66,114 for Saturday's playoff game against New England was surpassed only by the 73,737 at Old Trafford for Sunday's game between Manchester United and Liverpool in Manchester, England, and the 81,365 at Signal Iduna Park in Dortumund, Germany, for Saturday's game between Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund.

Atlanta United led MLS in attendance for the third consecutive season with an average attendance of 52,510 for 17 home games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
