Atlanta United manager Frank de Boer said the team is looking to add depth at fullback.

It may need that help soon.

Atlanta United will be without fullbacks Brek Shea (knee/ankle), Franco Escobar (yellow card accumulation), Mikey Ambrose (hamstring), and George Bello when it hosts Houston on Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

"We are always looking for that," de Boer said after Sunday's 2-1 loss at Seattle. "Especially right now with a lack of depth. It's a possibility that we will do something in the transfer market. We won't make rash decisions. We will do what benefits the club and the team."

Escobar is the only right fullback on the team’s roster. Michael Parkhurst, normally a centerback, has played the position, but he came in for Shea on Sunday when he went down with his injury in the game’s opening minutes.

Atlanta United added midfielder Emerson Hyndman when the transfer window opened July 9.

Atlanta United has one reserve spot open on its roster and one international slot available.
