Atlanta United manager Gerardo Martino, centerback Michael Parkhurst, wingback Julian Gressel and midfielder Miguel Almiron were named to the MLS team of the week on Monday after last week’s 5-0 win against LAFC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Almiron, who was named to the bench for the team of the week, scored two goals on penalty kicks, Gressel scored a goal and added an assist, Parkhurst added an assist and led a defense that posted its second consecutive shut out, and Martino led the team that featured three new starters on defense.

Atlanta United leads the league in goals scored (13) and goal difference (7). It has won four consecutive games and will host unbeaten NYCFC on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
