FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard, who’s played in all seven games and made three starts this season, was declared out of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints on Friday.

Bullard, who’s in his sixth season in the NFL and his first with the Falcons, has a concussion. He has made 13 tackles and has one quarterback hit this season. He has played 137 defensive snaps (37%) this season.

Mike Pennel and John Cominsky are listed as Bullard’s backups on the team’s official depth chart. The Falcons also could use Marlon Davidson, who’s listed as Grady Jarrett’s backup.

After placing wide receiver Calvin Ridley (mental health) on the non-injury football list, the Falcons have an open roster spot.

Defensive tackle Anthony Rush is on the practice squad and could be promoted for the game.
