Braves pitching coach Rick Kranitz confers with starting pitcher Tucker Davidson after Davidson allowed a solo homer in the first inning of Tuesday's Braves-Red Sox game at Truist Park. The Braves erased an early 5-0 deficit but would eventually drop a 10-8 decision in the first of a two-game series.

Davidson exited the game in the third inning due to left forearm tightness. He will undergo an MRI Wednesday and be placed on the injured list, manager Brian Snitker said after the game.

Lefthander Eduardo Rodriguez got the start for the Red Sox.
