Alabama grabbed a 10-7 lead over Washington with a 40-yard field goal in the second quarter of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Saturday at the Georgia Dome.

The No. 1 Crimson Tide forced a fumble by No. 4 Washington wide receiver John Ross near the 45-yard line, returning it to the Huskies’ 40. It was the first turnover of the college football playoff semifinal.

Five plays later, Alabama faced third-and-1 on the 19-yard line, but a false start pushed the ball back to third-and-6 on the 24.
