The updated Rivals100 for the class of 2016 was released Monday. How many players from the list of the country's top 100 recruits are part of the Gators' recruiting class?

One.

Cocoa defensive back Chauncey Gardner is No. 51 and he’s the only Florida commit on the list. That’s not great considering the Gators’ 2016 recruiting class is almost full with 20 commitments.

Florida State has four commitments on the list.

A handful of players the Gators are still targeting made the list, though. No. 3 Dexter Lawrence, a defensive tackle from Wake Forest High in North Carolina; No. 11 Nate Craig-Myers, a wide receiver from Tampa Catholic; No. 19 Shavar Manuel, a defensive end from IMG Academy; and No. 69 Binjimen Victor, a wide receiver from Coconut Creek, are all recruits heavily interested in Florida.

The Gators will need to get at least one commitment from that group to match last year’s total of Rivals100 players to sign with Florida.

The Gators signed two players on the Rivals100 list for the class of 2015 — No. 4 Martez Ivey and No. 20 Cece Jefferson.
