Kennesaw State stretches win streak to four

Owls defeat Delaware in final home game of season.

Playing in his final home game on Senior Day, Jaden Harris came off the bench and scored a team-high 22 points to lead Kennesaw State past Delaware 90-82 on Saturday.

Harris had five assists for the Owls (18-11, 10-8 Conference USA), who have won four straight games. Frankquon Sherman added 15 points and 14 rebounds, while RJ Johnson finished with 13 points.

Kennesaw State improved to 13-1 on the season when scoring 88 or more points, including a perfect 9-0 record when scoring at least 90 points.

Christian Bliss led the way for the Fightin’ Blue Hens (9-20, 5-13) with 25 points, seven assists and two steals, including 10-of-10 at the free-throw line. Justyn Fernandez added 20 points for Delaware. Alex Kazanecki also had 16 points and four steals.

Kennesaw State took the lead with 16:55 remaining in the first half and did not trail again. Harris led with 15 points in the first half to help put them ahead 50-25 at the break. Kennesaw State was outscored by Delaware in the second half by 17 points, with Amir Taylor scoring a team-high 10 points after the break.

The Owls finish the regular season with a pair of road games, the first coming up on Thursday at UTEP.
