Temple at No. 18 Georgia Tech was scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m., but because of lightning near Bobby Dodd Stadium the game was delayed. The game kicked off at 5:05 p.m., and the matchup is being televised live by The CW.

With both teams warming up on the field, officials sent the Yellow Jackets and Owls back to their respective locker rooms at 3:58 p.m. and asked fans to seek shelter after lightning had been detected. Per rule, a weather delay must last until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike has been detected.

Tech (3-0) also had its home opener Sept. 6 against Gardner-Webb delayed by inclement weather.
