Polls have closed for Georgia’s primary runoffs.
We should learn soon whether U.S. Rep. Mike Collins or football coach Derek Dooley will win the Republican nomination to challenge Democratic incumbent Jon Ossoff in the U.S. Senate race.
In the GOP contest for governor, billionaire healthcare executive Rick Jackson is up against Lt. Gov. Burt Jones in what has become the most expensive primary in Georgia’s history. Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms claimed the Democratic nomination in the May primary.
Other runoffs are on the ballot, as well, from statewide offices to legislative and congressional seats.
