On Monday, Jan. 14, Brian Kemp will be inaugurated as the 83rd governor of the state of Georgia.

Kemp defeated Stacey Abrams in one of the most contested races in the nation in November. The race officially ended more than a week after Election Day following the counting of absentee and provisional ballots.

Kemp’s inauguration will begin with a prayer service Monday morning at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of St. Philip. The formal swearing-in ceremony will take place at Georgia Tech's McCamish Pavilion at 2 p.m.
