Now casting: New Oprah series seeking extras

Are you ready to make your mark on Atlanta’s film and TV industry? Are you the next Tyler Perry? ATL is in need of young stars. Check out the Peach City’s latest casting call for your chance at fame.

According to Deadline, the series is a multi-generational family saga that will follow a woman, who relocates to revitalize her marriage. Along the way, she must go “head to head with some of the most powerful and deceitful players in the city.” The series, produced by Will Packer, will appear on OWN.

What are they looking for?

Casting directors are seeking extras, 18 and up of all races, for a gala party. Women must have full length evening gowns, heels, complimentary jewelry and an evening clutch. No red or white attire is allowed, and the clothing must not have labels. 

Men should have a black suit or tuxedo with a black or white dress shirt, a solid dark tie or bow tie, dark dress shoEs and socks. The clothing must have no labels.

When are they filming?

There are two booking options in the Atlanta area. The first one is Nov. 7-9, and the second is Nov. 8.

How much does it pay?

Pay is $75 for eight hours.

How do I submit?

Send an e-mail to with the subject line “GALA GUEST w/ Wardrobe.” Include your name, number, age, booking option, attached photos of yourself in two wardrobe outfits, height and clothing sizes. Also, note if you have visible tattoos and where as well as your car type, model and year.
