Woman dies after fall from V.A. Medical Center garage

Nov 24, 2014A woman who fell or jumped from the parking garage at the Atlanta V.A. Medical Center near Decatur Friday morning later died, authorities said Monday.
Pat Bailey, chief investigator with the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s office, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that an autopsy has not yet been performed, and his office has not yet determined if the woman accidentally fell or intentionally jumped from the third level of the parking deck.
DeKalb fire Capt. Eric Jackson said the woman suffered lower extremity fractures in the incident, and Bailey said she later died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
The woman’s name was being withheld until relatives could be notified.
