An Atlanta woman was arrested and charged with murder after a man was found shot to death at her home, police said Sunday.
Police were called to the 3000 block of Highbury Trail, off Mount Zion Road in southwest Atlanta, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Officer Ralph Woolfolk said. At the home, officers spoke Temeka Jones, 34, who was arrested at the scene, Woolfolk said.
“The preliminary investigation suggests Miss Jones shot a male at the location, thereby resulting in his death,” Woolfolk said in an emailed statement.
Address records showed Jones lives in the Highbury Trail home. She was booked into the Fulton County jail, where she remained Sunday without bond.
The man’s name was not released Sunday, pending notification of family members, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
