What makes it truly great is that no matter the species, the love and sacrifice is the same, as evidenced in a video captured by photographer Jeffrey Reid.

In the video above, Reid records footage of a mother raccoon teaching her baby how to climb a tree in their yard.

The young raccoon struggles mightily but gets the hang of it at the end!
