The judge gave the driver 120 hours of community service as punishment. As she read her decision, the furious father picked up a chair in the courtroom and threw it at her full force.

He was apprehended by court officers. A condition of the lenient sentence is that if the man does not complete his community service, he will have to serve 60 days in prison.

Dutch media reports say that the Polish driver has never shown any remorse for the incident. Some members of the Dutch Parliament agreed that the sentence was 'absurdly low.'
