Approximately 60,000 hot-cold massage balls sold at Target stores have been recalled because they can leak or rupture when microwaved, posing a possible burn hazard to consumers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a release Thursday.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said there have been 84 reports of the Vivitar Hot/Cold Massage Balls bursting in microwaves, and 17 cases of people being burned because of it, according to the release.

The product is sold in packages of two -- one smooth, and one with raised bumps -- and are lavender, teal or light pink, according to the release. It cost $5 and was sold exclusively at Target from December 2018 through February 2019.

People who bought these products can return them to any Target for a refund, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said in its release.
