There weren’t backups through town near South Ocean and South County Road, which is also closed for through traffic. A sign on Royal Palm Way notified drivers of the closure.

This morning, according to thePalm Beach Post, Trump made an unannounced trip across the Intracoastal to his Trump International Golf Club outside West Palm.

Traffic on and between Southern Blvd. and Okeechobee Blvd. is expected to worsen into the late afternoon and evening, as a march in protest of Trump is planned from Trump Plaza in West Palm Beach, down South Flagler Drive and end at the Southern Boulevard Bridge.

The march’s route originally was to take protesters from Trump Plaza to Mar-a-Lago during the Red Cross Ball. But now after a rise in safety concerns and the transfer of leadership for the march the route will not enter the Town of Palm Beach.
