Two crashes Wednesday morning caused heavy delays on I-75 South in Cobb County.

At one point, the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported trip times of at least 90 minutes from Wade Green Road to I-285 after a tractor-trailer overturned at Windy Hill Road about 2 a.m.

“One of the gas tanks separated and began leaking,” Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said. The driver was not injured.

Just as crews cleared the scene at Windy Hill Road, a multi-vehicle crash shut down three right lanes of I-75 South before the North Loop.

Injuries were reported in that crash.

By 10:50 a.m., that scene had cleared.

In other news:

Atlanta police released a sketch of who they believe is the attacker. He is believed to be around 5 feet 9 inches tall and weigh between 160 and 180 pounds.
