A pothole that blocked two lanes of traffic on I-75 South in Clayton County was fixed before the Tuesday morning rush hour, officials said.

The lanes reopened about 6 a.m., 21 hours after crews first arrived on the scene just south of I-285, Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman Natalie Dale said.

Repair work on Monday slowed traffic near Forest Parkway and led to delays.

Crews worked through the night to patch the pothole and to cut out the asphalt surrounding it.
