A pedestrian was hit and killed early Thursday in DeKalb County, police said.

The accident happened on Bouldercrest Road south of I-285, police said.

The victim was identified Friday as Travis Wright, 53, of Ellenwood. He was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a Ford Explorer, police said.

The case remains under investigation.
